Structured products have become over the past years a well-established asset class for professional and retail investors. The Association objective is to promote the global picture of structured products and thus, that of the Luxembourg Financial Center as a whole.
Luxembourg Structured Investment Products Association (LUXSIPA) was established in July 2019 to represents the common interests of the most active members of the structured products industry in the Luxembourg market. It brings together stakeholders active in the structured products business, from issuers to buyers as well as the most important partners in the field, such a stock exchanges or consultants. To ensure its ongoing influence, the Association strives to position itself as the primary, fairest and best point of contact in every question relative to structured products in Luxembourg.
Equivalent associations have been created in other European countries and all of them are members of the European Structured Investment Products Association (EUSIPA www.eusipa.org). EUSIPA is a registered non-profit association under Belgian Law founded in 2009 created to serve its members in their task to serve the interests of the financial structured investments products industry in the best possible manner.
MISSION
LUXSIPA’s mission is to promote and strengthen the Luxembourg-based structured products industry as a high-quality segment at the service of market players and public authorities. The Association has created strong links with the ABBL (www.abbl.lu) and is recognized by the Luxembourg financial industry as a centre of competence for every subject relative to structured products.
Within the framework of this mission, the main objectives of LUXSIPA are to:
- Promote professionalism, integrity, quality of structured products and investor protection.
- Illustrate the advantages of structured products for investors and wealth managers.
- Promote, represent and defend the common interests of its members.
- Strengthen and support the place of the Luxembourg market in the global structured product value chain.
- Improve the transparency of transaction volumes on structured products involving Luxembourg market infrastructures.
- Actively participate in the elaboration of European and national rules in the interest of the market and all Luxembourg market participants.
- Be a source of information on the structured products industry to any interested market participant.
- Communicate with regulators, other associations, the media, as well as national and international organizations.
